What's new?

Stay connected with LIVE video monitoring

Stay close - even when you're far away. You can now keep an eye on your loved ones, your property or your business with the touch of a button. New camera technology goes beyond playback to now stream live video directly to your computer, tablet or smart phone. Remote
video is a valuable tool for additional supervision at home. It's ideal for working parents, housebound elders, families with nannies or staff,
pet owners and frequent travelers. Customers love the immediacy of live, remote video because it connects them to what matters most.

Our consultants can help identify the right product for these
applications — and many more. Napco's iSeeVideo cameras are leaders in this new trend. We love their quick, wireless installation
and easy, plug-and-play use. Let our experienced sales team customize discrete solutions for your entrances and perimeters, interior rooms, nurseries, pools, garages, outdoor spaces, vacation homes, boats and low-light areas. Live video cameras are also perfect for small business needs - including monitoring of retail spaces, storage rooms, employee work spaces, elevators and parking lots. Contact us to explore the best indoor, outdoor or zoom-in
cameras for your needs. They're more affordable than you think.

Safe and Secure
Summer safety tips

Summertime is vacation time. As days lengthen and temperatures rise, sun and fun replace everyday duties and schedules. As a Scarsdale Security customer, you can truly relax on vacation - because you know we are working hard to secure your home and belongings. Of course, our prominent red lawn signs, entryway stickers and armed security systems are our customers' first line of defense. However, to further deter thieves from targeting your house while you're away, make precaution a priority:

1. Test your security system at least one week before you travel
Call our alarm center at 722-2200 and a dispatcher will guide you through the process. This includes making sure all intrusion and monitoring devices are connecting with the keypad and sending appropriate test signals to our alarm center.

2. Activate your security system every time your leave your house
Whether it'sl for an hour at the beach or a week in paradise.

3. Lock all doors and windows
Do not invite burglars into your home by providing easy access.

4. Suspend the mail service, newspapers, dry cleaning drop-offs and other regular deliveries
Overflowing mailboxes and piled-up porches are certain signs that your house is unoccupied.

5. Leave on some interior lights or connect lamps and TVs to timers
to give your house a lived-in appearance.

6. Update emergency contact info and phone numbers on your Scarsdale Security call list. Inform neighbors of your travel dates
Some police departments have a "dark house list" and will conduct drive-bys of these houses while homeowners are away. Inquire with your local police about this possible service. It will enable better coordination with us should a problem arise.

7. Remove jewelry and other valuables from your master bedroom, including the closet.
Statistics show that master bedrooms are the first place - and sometimes the only place - that thieves target in most burglaries. Don't make it easy for the bad guys! Conceal jewelry, cash and other valuables in alternative or unusual locations.

Looking back, Looking forward.

Hurrican Sandy was no match for Scarsdale Security

Bet you didn't know we have twin brother! With our own UL-rated
alarm centers in the Northeast and the Midwest, we will always be
there for you when disaster strikes. Last October, Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast as one of the most debilitating and costliest hurricanes in U.S. history. However, nothing could stop our determination. We followed our disaster plan with great success. Neither floods, nor winds, nor fallen trees, nor power outages could derail our dedication to your protection.

Before the storm hit, we relocated a team of alarm center operators from our headquarters in Scarsdale, NY, to our dedicated disaster recovery site, in our Springfield, Missouri office. There, winds were calm; skies were dry; and our systems never missed a beat.

During the height of the storm and the weeks of devastation that followed, we received more than 3,500 service calls. However, rather than becoming overwhelmed, our perseverance grew.

We immediately began prioritizing and addressing this enormous call volume, even when our own houses were under water. Our technical staff logged countless hours, sacrificing weekends, to tirelessly
check your systems, restore service and replace waterlogged devices.
Flood detectors were installed to preempt future damages from future storms.

Our commitment to the recovery of those affected by the hurricane did not waiver as we tackled a workload three times our normal volume. Within twelve weeks, we had satisfied each of the thousands of service tickets. Reflecting on this incredible effort, we would like to thank you for your patience and fortitude during this extraordinary time. We are proud to be part of your family.

President's Letter
Welcome from David Raizen

Dear Friends,

July means Independence Day —
a time  to celebrate American life and American values. While enjoying the spectacle ofJuly 4th fireworks in our community, I reflected on what's really important - family, friends and helping others. It's the same perspective that inspired the birth of Scarsdale Security; and it remains the central
focus of our company today.

We began as a one-man, garage-based operation of installing security systems in 1982 - and, wow, have
we grown! We are now one of the
top 100-ranked security firms out of 15,000 nationwide.

But, with all of our technical savvy and creative thinking, we haven't
lost our human touch. After more than 30 years, I'm still excited to see the dedication of everyone on our team - every day. It shows in the energy that comes from working together to design, troubleshoot and customize technical solutions. It also shows in the care and attention that our technicians and alarm center operator convey to customers.

To stay on top of the game, we are always evolving, always learning, always growing - and always welcoming conversation with you. This newsletter is intended to be part of that ongoing dialogue. So, as we welcome you to the first edition, we also invite your participation. Let us know what you thnk, what you need, what interests you and what you'd like to see.

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you much relaxation this summer.

Be well
David Raizen, President
